This was reported during a telethon by Acting Head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate Anatoliy Zamulko, as conveyed by Ukrinform.
"The heat supply organizations have fulfilled their obligations regarding preparations for the heating period according to the available budgets and resources. All entities in the heating sector have conducted repair campaigns and tested their networks. The State Energy Supervision has continuously monitored the testing process and technical replacements in the equipment," Zamulko stated.
He noted that social infrastructure facilities are currently being gradually connected to the heating supply in Ukraine, and this is a time when any identified shortcomings in the preparation can be addressed.
At the same time, Zamulko emphasized that the main factor affecting the heating season is the Russian attacks on critical infrastructure. To mitigate their impact, response scenarios have been developed at the local level, and the maximum number of socially important facilities are equipped with generators.
Cooperation with international partners is also ongoing regarding the supply of powerful equipment necessary for the operation of heating plants and heat supply companies, as well as electrical equipment for forming reserves.
As reported, as of October 15, the readiness of residential buildings for winter in Ukraine was over 99%, with more than 18,000 boiler houses and 4,800 central heating points at the stage of readiness for heat supply.
