“According to the World Bank's estimates, direct losses in the agricultural sector amounted to $11.2 billion. Specifically, $700 million is attributed to irrigation and water resources,” the statement said.
According to the new World Bank report on damage assessment and needs, Ukraine will require $524 billion for recovery over the next decade, which is $38 billion more than previous estimates.
Of the total long-term needs, the requirements for rebuilding and restoring trade and industry are estimated at over $64 billion, while those for agriculture exceed $55 billion.
