The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced a suspension of the United for Ukraine (U4U) program, which was designed to assist Ukrainians fleeing the war and seeking refuge in the United States.

It is noted that the decision to suspend the program was made in connection with the executive order dated January 20, 2025, titled "Protecting Our Borders".

USCIS is halting the acceptance of form I-134A, the online sponsorship request, and the declaration of financial support until the agency reviews all previously submitted requests, according to the announcement.
