As reported by Ukrinform, citing Reuters, the Syrian Foreign Minister made this statement during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sibiga.
"There will be a strategic partnership between us and Ukraine at political, economic, and social levels, as well as a scientific partnership," al-Shaibani stated.
Additionally, the head of the Syrian Foreign Ministry pointed out that "the Syrian people and the Ukrainian people share similar experiences and sufferings that we have endured over the past 14 years," clearly drawing parallels between the bloody war in Syria and the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported, on Monday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga was visiting Damascus, where he met with Syria's de facto leader Ahmed al-Sharaa and the newly appointed Foreign Minister Assad Hassan al-Shaibani.
