Syrsky: The front situation is challenging, with key priorities being the Kursk operation and strikes deep into Russia.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, held a meeting to review the activities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in January 2025. He announced that there was a slight increase in the number of units being deployed for combat readiness restoration during that month.
Сирский: Ситуация на фронте сложная, среди приоритетов - Курская операция и удары вглубь России.

As reported by Ukrinform, Syrskiy announced this on Facebook.

"The situation is challenging, but we are responding with dignity. We continue to effectively destroy enemy military facilities to reduce their striking potential. We are eliminating the enemy both on Ukrainian territory and in Russia," noted the commander-in-chief.

According to him, among the priorities is the operation in the Kursk region and striking military targets deep within Russia.

The main efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are primarily focused on the steadfast defense of positions and preventing enemy advancement, enhancing the training of servicemen, and increasing the unmanned component, the general emphasized.

Syrskiy informed that the development of units and formations of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Marine Corps, and Unmanned Systems is ongoing, supported by an increase in unmanned systems within their ranks.

"On the ground, we are primarily saturating those units already engaged in defense at the front with personnel and equipment," said Syrskiy.

At the same time, according to the commander-in-chief, measures are being taken to transfer and assign servicemen from non-combat to combat military units.

Syrskiy emphasized the need to improve recruitment efforts and enhance the psychological resilience of soldiers.

He stated that adaptation measures for newcomers arriving from training centers should be conducted before they are involved in combat missions, as the preparedness and training of personnel directly impact the army's resilience.

"In January, we managed to slightly increase the number of units being restored to combat readiness. There are corresponding plans for the upcoming period," Syrskiy stressed.

He noted: "We are considering the challenges of the times and are working to strengthen the army even under the difficult conditions that have arisen."

The commander-in-chief emphasized that the reform of the organizational structure of the Armed Forces is ongoing. In particular, measures to transition to a corps structure have begun.

"February will be challenging for our military, but the enemy will also face difficulties. I have assigned tasks to the appropriate commands and military management bodies," Syrskiy highlighted.

He noted that the enemy does not reduce the intensity of its attacks, and it is against this backdrop that the tasks will be executed.

As reported by Ukrinform, Syrskiy stated that The Armed Forces of Ukraine are counting on a comprehensive investigation of crimes against military personnel and the deserved punishment of those responsible.
