As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force has announced this on Telegram.
Starting from 20:00 on Monday, January 27, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with 100 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions of: Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Chauda (temporarily occupied) Crimea.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:30 on Tuesday, January 28, the downing of 65 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones has been confirmed in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions.
28 enemy imitation drones were locally lost (without negative consequences), two of which flew towards Russia and Belarus.
One drone remains airborne, and combat operations continue.
As a result of the attack by Russian drones, buildings of private enterprises, infrastructure facilities, apartment blocks, and private homes, as well as vehicles, were damaged.
Preliminary reports indicate no casualties, and assistance is being provided to the injured.
Special services are eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack in Odesa, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.
As Ukrinform previously reported, in Odesa, four people were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack on the night of January 28.
