As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force announced this in a Telegram message.
Starting from 19:00 on Sunday, February 2, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 71 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions of: Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00 on Monday, February 3, it has been confirmed that 38 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones were shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
25 enemy imitation drones were lost in specific locations (without negative consequences).
As a result of the enemy attack, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy regions were affected.
As reported by Ukrinform, there are damages due to debris from downed Russian drones in the Brovary district of Kyiv region, according to the Kyiv regional military administration.
