Starting from 20:00 on Monday, February 3, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with 65 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of imitation drones from the directions of: Oryol, Kursk, and Bryansk.
The aerial assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00 on Tuesday, February 4, the downing of 37 Shahed-type drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles has been confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy regions.
28 enemy imitation drones were lost locally (without negative consequences).
As a result of the enemy attack, the Sumy region and Cherkasy region were affected.
As Ukrinform reported, fires broke out at three private enterprises in Cherkasy due to attacks by Russian drones.
In the Buryn and Sumy communities of the Sumy region, windows in residential buildings and an educational institution were damaged due to the fall of two Russian drones, and summer houses were destroyed and damaged.
