Defense forces shot down 138 Russian drones, with an additional 119 lost due to location issues.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reports this on Telegram.

As per the announcement, starting from 19:00 on Saturday, February 22, the Russians launched an attack on Ukraine with 267 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the following directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, Chauda – Crimea, as well as three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Crimea.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 08:00 on Sunday, February 23, the downing of 138 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones has been confirmed in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"119 enemy imitation drones were lost in location (without negative consequences), three of them headed towards Belarus, and one towards Russia," emphasized the Air Forces.

It is also noted that as a result of the enemy attack, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia were affected.

As reported by Ukrinform, air alerts were declared in several regions due to the attack of enemy strike UAVs.
