Defense forces shot down 107 Russian drones, with an additional 97 lost in various locations.

Starting from 19:00 on Thursday, February 27, the Russians launched an attack on Ukraine using 208 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions of: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 09:00 on Friday, February 28, the confirmed downing of 107 drones has been reported in the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv.

97 enemy imitation drones were locally lost (without negative consequences).

As a result of the enemy attack, Kharkiv region, Sumy region, Mykolaiv region, and Zaporizhia were affected.

According to Ukrinform, in Zaporizhia, three apartments were destroyed due to the nighttime drone attack. The drones damaged multi-story and private houses.
