This was reported by the press service of the agency, as conveyed by Ukrinform.
"In 2024, the State Special Communications Service delivered over 1.25 million drones of various types produced domestically for the needs of the security and defense forces. Additionally, contracts were signed last year for the supply of over 1.35 million Ukrainian unmanned systems. Thus, the service fulfilled the task set by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky," the statement said.
The agency noted that FPV drones were the most in demand last year.
It was mentioned that in 2025, the State Special Communications Service will continue procurement and "together with the Ministry of Defense has a new task from the President – 30,000 long-range unmanned aerial vehicles."
The State Special Communications Service emphasized that the project for the procurement of unmanned systems is being implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and other components of the security and defense sector.
"They determine the type and quantity, as well as other parameters of the drones they need. Based on these requests, the State Special Communications Service carries out procurement and transfers unmanned systems," the agency noted.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the use of the ground logistics robotic complex "D-21" of Ukrainian production.
