As reported by Ukrinform, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have announced this on Telegram.
Starting from 20:00 on Sunday, January 26, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with 104 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions of: Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The aerial assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00 on Monday, January 27, the downing of 57 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones has been confirmed in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
39 enemy imitation drones were lost in specific locations (without negative consequences).
As a result of the UAV attack, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kyiv regions were affected. Infrastructure facilities, apartment buildings, and private homes were hit.
According to preliminary data, there are no casualties, and assistance is being provided to the affected individuals.
Special services are addressing the aftermath of the hostile attack.
