Police are conducting over 600 searches across Ukraine to uncover schemes for smuggling draft dodgers abroad.

The National Police is conducting large-scale operations across Ukraine aimed at uncovering illegal channels for smuggling men across the border.

As reported by Ukrinform, this is stated in a message from the National Police on Facebook.

Over 600 simultaneous searches are being carried out by operatives from the Department of Strategic Investigations and investigators of the National Police, and this is just the first phase of a special operation to shut down channels for transporting conscript-aged men abroad, law enforcement officials emphasized.

The focus is on the organizers and participants of groups that assist men in crossing the border by circumventing official checkpoints.

According to available information, these routes have facilitated the crossing of hundreds of military conscripts.

Operations are ongoing in all regions of Ukraine.

Details of the special operation will be disclosed after all investigative actions are completed, the National Police added.

As Ukrinform reported, in the Rivne region, four members of an organized group will be tried for smuggling 37 military conscripts out of the country.
