The "Miners" will face Borussia Dortmund in Germany, as reported by Ukrinform.
The starting whistle from Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time at the 81,000-seat Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
To recap, "Shakhtar" began their campaign with a draw against Bologna (0:0) away, lost to another Italian team, Atalanta (0:3), in the second round, fell to Arsenal in London (0:1) in the third, defeated Swiss Young Boys (2:1) in the fourth, failed to hold onto a win against Dutch PSV (2:3) in the fifth, lost to German Bayern Munich (1:5) in the sixth, and won against French Brest (2:0) in the seventh.
"Shakhtar" currently sits in 27th place in the standings, still holding theoretical chances to advance to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage. Borussia is in 14th place.
A total of 36 teams are competing at this stage. The top eight clubs will automatically qualify for the knockout rounds, while teams finishing from ninth to 24th will compete in two-legged ties for spots in the Round of 16.
