During the night and morning, Russian forces launched six strikes on the Sumy border region.

This was reported in a Telegram post by the Sumy Regional State Administration, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

"During the night and in the morning, the Russians carried out 6 shellings of border areas and settlements in the Sumy region. A total of 11 explosions were recorded. The Sadyivska, Yunakivska, Krasnopilska, and Velykopysarivska communities were affected by the shelling," the post states.

According to the Regional State Administration, the Krasnopilska community experienced a launch of KABs (1 explosion) and artillery shelling (6 explosions). As a result of the attack, an administrative building, private homes, and garage facilities were damaged.

In the Yunakivska community, launches of KABs were recorded (2 explosions), and the enemy dropped a VOG from a drone on the Velykopysarivska community (1 explosion).

The Sadyivska community was attacked by a drone (1 explosion). This attack resulted in damage to four private residential houses, two outbuildings, and two passenger cars.

Additionally, the head of the Romenska District Military Administration, Valentyna Nazarenko, reported on Facebook that around 01:45 on March 1, an attack by an enemy drone was recorded over the territory of a private household in the Romenska community. According to her, three houses were preliminarily damaged, and the area is currently being surveyed. There are no casualties among the population.

As reported, on March 1, air defense units shot down 11 Russian drones over the Sumy region.
