The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has submitted a draft resolution to the Verkhovna Rada seeking approval for the dismissal of Andriy Kostin from the position of Attorney General.
This is evidenced by the
document card on the parliament's website.
The submission was registered today, October 28.
Let us remind you that earlier, on October 22, Andrey Kostin
resigned from his position as head of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The decision regarding the resignation followed a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine chaired by President Zelensky. There, they
discussed the situation with the MSEC and abuses by officials from various government agencies regarding disability claims. The President emphasized that the Prosecutor General should also bear responsibility for such a situation.
