“G7 ambassadors recommend swiftly resolving the situation in the Defense Procurement Agency and focusing on continuing defense procurement,” noted the ambassadors from G7 countries.
They added that adherence to good governance principles and NATO recommendations is crucial for maintaining public trust and the confidence of international partners.
As reported, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that he has submitted a proposal to the Cabinet to dismiss his deputy, Dmytro Klimenko. Additionally, the Ministry of Defense will not extend the contract with the current head of the Defense Procurement Agency, Maryna Bezrukova.
According to Umerov, the director of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) will be appointed from the general director of the Ministry of Defense’s procurement agency, “State Operator of Rear Support,” Arsen Zhumadylov.
It was previously reported that on January 22, the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense decided to extend the contract with the current director of the DPA, Maryna Bezrukova.
