The head of the National Police, Ivan Vihivskyi, reported this on Facebook, as conveyed by Ukrinform.
According to him, since February 24, 2022, law enforcement has documented over 140,000 instances of crimes committed by Russia.
"Behind these horrifying numbers are the deaths of people and children, the brutal torture of our Ukrainians," emphasized the head of the NPU.
Police, Vihivskyi noted, are evacuating civilians from frontline areas, delivering humanitarian aid, clearing debris after shelling, and providing first aid.
He stated that thanks to the efforts of the "White Angels," nearly 10,000 people have been rescued from the hottest conflict zones since the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, over a thousand of whom are children.
They have transported more than 500 severely injured and sick individuals to hospitals and delivered over 700 tons of humanitarian aid.
"During this time, specialists from the explosive ordnance disposal service of the National Police have cleared over 42,000 hectares of Ukrainian land from enemy debris, destroyed more than 148,000 explosive objects, and 18.5 tons of explosives," Vihivskyi noted.
He emphasized that the joint assault brigade of the National Police "Lut," the sniper unit KORD, combined infantry units from the Main Police Departments, and the patrol police brigade "Khyzhak" continue to eliminate Russian invaders as part of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As reported, February 24, 2025, marks the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
