Poland will order and deliver an additional 5,000 Starlink terminals to Ukraine.
Польша закажет для Украины пять тысяч терминалов Starlink.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization of Poland, Krzysztof Gawłowski, as reported by Ukrinform, referencing TVP Info.

“There is a decision by the Ministry of Digitalization. We are ordering an additional five thousand Starlink terminals... They are partially prepaid and will be sent to Ukraine,” Gawłowski stated.

According to him, the terminals will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming weeks and months.

The Polish official reminded that there are currently 25,000 Starlink terminals operating in Ukraine, provided by Poland. He emphasized that this ensures internet connectivity in Ukraine and security in both civilian and military spheres. “This helps maintain the front,” Gawłowski added.

The publication notes that about 85% of Starlink terminals for Ukraine have been fully or partially purchased from external sources, particularly thanks to the USA, the UK, and Poland. Poland finances the operation of the terminals.

As previously reported, Reuters informed that American negotiators raised the issue of potentially limiting Ukraine's access to the Starlink satellite internet system of SpaceX in the context of a mineral deal.

At the same time, officials in Poland stated that Warsaw has purchased Starlink terminals for Ukraine, is paying for satellite internet, and sees no grounds for terminating the business contract.

On February 22, SpaceX founder and head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk stated that the information about the possible disconnection of Starlink for Ukraine is not true.

On February 23, President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that no one had hinted at Ukraine's assistance from the United States being cut off, particularly regarding the provision of Starlink systems, but that the country should be prepared for such developments.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized that military leadership is already working on finding an alternative communication system in case the Starlink satellite system is disconnected for Ukrainian forces.

On February 25, the Starlink project of the American company SpaceX dismissed "rumors" about the alleged limitation of Ukraine's access to its satellite internet system, stating that “Starlink is fully committed to providing services to Ukraine.”
