The highest taxes were paid by the owners of popular platforms: Upwork, Netflix, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Valve, Etsy, Google, PlayStation, AWS, and Bolt. Together, they contributed over 10.2 billion hryvnias in VAT (119 million dollars) to the budget.

"Google Tax"
Recall that the law on "Google tax" came fully into effect on January 1, 2022. The document introduces European standards and requires international internet companies to pay a 20% value-added tax (VAT) in Ukraine.
In 2021, the head of the financial committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danilo Hetmantsev, noted that giants like Facebook, Viber, and others do not pay VAT. According to estimates, the state budget loses 3 billion hryvnias solely from advertising services.
