The death of Anton Spitsin, co-founder of the special forces group "Sharp Berets," was reported by his brother Oleksandr on Facebook.
7 "Today is the darkest and heaviest day of my life. My dear brother has left me. The closest and dearest person to me. It is hard to write and remember Anton's life, but he lived as a hero and died as a hero..." he wrote.
8 The brothers served together in the "Sharp Berets" - a special forces group within the separate special forces unit “Omega” of the National Guard of Ukraine, established in Kharkiv.
9 According to Oleksandr, Anton sustained injuries during combat that were incompatible with life. Doctors fought for his life but were unable to save him...
0 Activist Serhiy Sternenko called the deceased soldier "one of the best Ukrainian FPV operators."
"We helped Anton and his unit a lot. He probably sent hundreds of Russian invaders to hell. This is a great loss for Ukraine," recalled the volunteer.
1 Anton was born and raised in the Kharkiv region. Before the full-scale invasion, he owned a construction business and was involved in charitable activities – he taught English for free to orphaned children and funded repairs at a children's psycho-neurological sanatorium.
2 “We will remember Anton for his good deeds, loyalty to Ukraine, work for victory, and love of freedom. Rest in peace, brother. Glory to the fallen Ukrainian warriors! We will avenge you!” vowed his comrades from “Omega.”
