According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Sumy Regional State Administration on Facebook.
“The communities of Khotyn, Yunakivka, Myropil, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velykopysarivka, Putivl, Novoslobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Svesa were targeted by shelling,” the message states.
The Khotyn community was hit by mortars (52 explosions), artillery (4 explosions), and attacked by FPV drones (50 explosions).
In the Myropil community, a strike from KABs was recorded (2 explosions), along with mortar and artillery shelling (6 and 7 explosions respectively), as well as shelling from multiple rocket launchers (23 explosions).
In the Putivl, Hlukhiv, Esman, and Velykopysarivka communities, there were a total of 11 explosions due to FPV drone attacks.
The Novoslobidka community was attacked by an FPV drone (1 explosion) and KABs (2 explosions). The Yunakivka community also suffered a KAB strike (1 explosion).
In the Krasnopillia community, enemy forces dropped VOGs from UAVs (4 explosions) and shelled with mortars and multiple rocket launchers (2 and 10 explosions respectively).
In the Svesa community, the Russians struck with KABs (2 explosions). As a result of the strike, four five-story residential buildings were damaged, with one of them having its entrance destroyed. Ten people were injured, including 2 children.
In the Shalyhyne community, an attack by FPV drones was recorded (2 explosions) along with the dropping of VOGs from UAVs (1 explosion).
In the Bilopillia community, the enemy dropped 4 mines and shelled with grenade launchers (29 explosions).
As reported, on January 3rd in the Sumy region, five people were injured due to enemy shelling.
