Since January of this year, new conditions for retirement in Ukraine have come into effect. TSN reports. This information has been shared by Kontakty.UA.
This is stated in the law "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance."
According to the law, starting from January 1, 2025, to retire at the age of 60, a minimum of 32 years of service is required.
This year, the right to receive an old-age pension is granted to those who turn 2025:
- 60 years - with at least 32 years of insurance experience
- 63 years - with at least 22 years of insurance experience
- 65 years - with at least 15 years of insurance experience
The old-age pension is granted upon the individual's application from the day following the day they reach retirement age, provided that the application is submitted no later than three months after reaching that age.
Ukrainian legislation allows individuals to purchase any missing service years. The cost for one month is 44% of the minimum wage, which currently amounts to 3520 UAH. For instance, if you have 30 years of service, you will need to pay an additional 42.2 thousand UAH for the missing year.
