According to the NBU, the distribution of deposits from individuals and sole proprietors is as follows:
- up to 10 hryvnias - 28.5 million totaling 27.7 million hryvnias,
- from 10 hryvnias to 200 thousand hryvnias - 39.7 million totaling 398.0 billion hryvnias,
- from 200 thousand hryvnias to 400 thousand hryvnias - 651 thousand totaling 179.6 billion hryvnias,
- from 400 thousand hryvnias to 600 thousand hryvnias - 240.0 thousand totaling 116 billion hryvnias,
- over 600 thousand hryvnias - 355.4 thousand totaling 653.4 billion hryvnias.
Guaranteed Deposit Amount
It is worth noting that in the spring of 2022, Ukraine passed a law guaranteeing individuals and sole proprietors the full amount of their deposits during wartime.
Three months after the end of martial law, the guaranteed deposit amount reached 600 thousand hryvnias.
Most of the funds of Ukrainians are held in state banks. As of December 1, the rating is led by PrivatBank.
In the state-owned PrivatBank, there were 24.0 million depositors holding 507 billion hryvnias. In second place is the state-owned Oschadbank with 13.0 million depositors and a total of 208.3 billion hryvnias, followed by the private Universal Bank with 9.0 million depositors totaling 100.4 billion hryvnias.
