According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Radio Liberty.
After the conclusion of the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, he said: "We have already noted that we will hold the next 'Ramstein' in February. We want the U.S. to remain and strengthen its presence; there are various formats, as you know, we created NSATU (under NATO auspices), and several European countries want to lead or co-lead this, because it is done together with Ukraine. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who held his last 'Ramstein' meeting in this role, refrained from making predictions about the future format under the new administration.
"Regarding the Contact Group: it should be a decision of the next administration. I will not speculate on whether this will happen," Austin said.
As reported by Ukrinform, on January 9, the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group took place at the Ramstein military base in Germany, chaired by the U.S. with the participation of military leadership from around fifty countries, the President of Ukraine, the NATO Secretary General, and other leaders.
