It is noted that the performance by the star violinist will feature selected works by contemporary Ukrainian composers, including the miniatures "Songs Without Words" and "Triptych" by Valentyn Sylvestrov, the Ukrainian "Seasons" for violin and orchestra by Zoltan Almashi, selected compositions by Volodymyr Zubitsky, "Soul" by Viktoria Poliova, as well as Concerto No. 4 for violin and orchestra by Yevhen Stankovych.
A special highlight of the evening will be three premieres: the suite "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" by Ivan Nebesny for violin and orchestra, along with two Ukrainian pieces for piano - To All Alive by Maksym Shalyhin and Garden of Lost Dreams by Maksym Kolomiyets for viola and orchestra.
The ministry noted that Bohdana Pivnenko will perform on the main stage of the capital's philharmonic alongside the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyiv Camerata" and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, led by the People's Artist of Ukraine, conductor Volodymyr Syrenko.
As Ukrinform reported, Bohdana Pivnenko has made it to the shortlist of nominees for this year's Shevchenko Prize with her concert programs from 2019-2024 entered into the competition.
