Due to assaults and shelling by Russian forces, some positions of the Defense Forces have been destroyed in three areas, according to military reports.
As reported by Ukrinform, the operational and strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia" shared this information on Telegram.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted offensive actions towards Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Zahryzove, and Zelenyi Hai, while in the Lyman direction, they stormed Ukrainian positions in the areas of Pershotravneve, Hrekivka, Terniv, and in Makiivka. "As a result of the assault actions and fire impact, some of our positions were destroyed. Measures are being taken to prevent a deterioration of the tactical situation," noted the OSUV "Khortytsia."
According to the report, during the past day, the main offensive efforts of the Russian troops were concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction. Primarily without the use of armored vehicles, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Myroliubivka, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Myrnohrad, Zvirove, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Novoelyzavetivka, Kurakhove, and Yantarne. Fighting continues in Lysivka, Dachenske, Novovasylivka, Shevchenkove, and Petropavlivka. The Defense Forces are countering the attempts of the Russian army to exploit numerical superiority and develop the offensive.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian assault groups attacked Ukrainian positions in Vovchansk and in the vicinity of Starytsia. The attacks were repelled, resulting in enemy losses and a retreat.
In the Siversky direction, the Russians attacked the positions of the Ukrainian troops in Bilohorivka but did not achieve success.
In the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions, clashes occurred in Chasiv Yar, in the area of Stupochky, Bila Hora, Predtechyne, and Toretsk. Some positions of the Defense Forces were damaged due to assault actions and fire impact. Efforts are ongoing to detect, localize, and eliminate the Russian assault groups that have infiltrated Ukrainian combat formations.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, Ukrainian defenders are resisting attacks in the areas of Zelenevka, Velyka Novosilka, and Vremivka. To move personnel for conducting offensive actions towards Kostiantynivka, the enemy used armored combat vehicles. As a result of fire damage, one Russian armored vehicle was destroyed along with its crew. The remaining vehicles were damaged. The enemy continues to accumulate forces for further attacks.
As Ukrinform reported, on the front line on January 10, there were recorded 213 combat clashes between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders.
