In Luhansk region, drivers are being fined for not having car insurance.

Starting January 1st, drivers in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region are being fined for not having car insurance.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, starting from January 1, drivers have begun to be fined for lacking car insurance.

This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysogor, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

“As of January 1, in the so-called 'LPR', drivers are being fined for not having a mandatory civil liability insurance policy – that is, car insurance,” wrote Lysogor.

According to him, the first fine for lacking insurance amounts to up to 800 Russian rubles, while repeat offenses can reach up to five thousand.

It was reported that residents of the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region are prohibited by Russian invaders from recharging their mobile phone accounts without personal identification.
