In occupied Kherson, authorities are conscripting orphans, lonely individuals, and children of parents with disabilities.

In the temporarily occupied Kherson region, the invaders are forcibly recruiting orphans, lonely individuals, and children of parents with disabilities.
В ТОТ Херсонской области оккупанты мобилизуют сирот, одиноких людей и детей с родителями-инвалидами.

This is reported by the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement, citing activists from the movement, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

“Mobilization in the occupied part of Kherson region: the Russians are deliberately searching for orphans, lonely individuals, and children of parents with disabilities,” the message states.

As noted, activists from the “Yellow Ribbon” movement explain that in temporarily occupied villages, the Russians specifically target individuals in difficult situations, who have no one to defend them. The occupiers most often take orphans, children of people with disabilities, and boys whose parents have been hospitalized with cancer or other serious health issues. They rely on the fact that there is no one to protect these individuals and that their swift demise can be easily concealed.

It is emphasized that the recruitment of individuals in the TOT into the occupying forces to fight against their own people is a significant crime committed by the Russian leadership. However, only the de-occupation of Ukrainian territory will stop them.

As reported by Ukrinform, an unprecedented draft is expected in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine this spring.

In the TOT of Kherson, at least two ATO participants have committed suicide after being coerced by the occupiers to sign a contract for service in the Russian army.
