In Kharkiv region, three people were injured due to a nighttime drone attack.

In the village of Krasnokutsk, located in the Bohodukhiv district of Kharkiv region, three people were injured and houses were damaged due to the fall of a Russian UAV "Geran" during the night.

This was reported by the police of Kharkiv region via Telegram, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

“Village of Krasnokutsk, Bohodukhiv district. January 5, 01:45: the fall of UAV ‘Geran’. As a result of the explosion, 4 private residential houses were damaged. Among the injured are two women aged 59 and 77, and a 33-year-old man. They are experiencing acute stress reactions. Assistance was provided on site,” the message states.

The police reminded that the day before, on January 4, a civilian man was killed in the village of Kivsharivka in the Kupiansk district due to shelling from the Uragan MLRS.

Throughout the previous day, Russian military forces continued to shell border and frontline areas of Kharkiv region. The enemy used KAB, MLRS, FPV drones, and UAVs against the civilian population. In particular, in Kupiansk, residential houses were damaged by artillery fire at 07:50, and later, power lines were affected by an FPV drone attack, while the UAV "Molniya" damaged a car and the road surface.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, Kharkiv investigators have recorded nearly 22,670 crimes related to Russia's armed aggression in the Kharkiv region in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.

The police also reported that on January 4, 12 residents, including one child, were evacuated from dangerous areas of Kharkiv region.
