Vasyl Ratushnyi has been killed on the front lines.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by their mother, writer Svitlana Povalieva.

On the night of February 27, during a combat mission, UAV pilot Vasyl Ratushnyi, known as "Madya," was killed by a direct hit from an FPV drone. "My eldest son, my life," she wrote.

According to Ukrinform, Roman Ratushnyi headed the NGO "Save Protasiv Yar" in 2019, which opposed the construction of high-rise buildings in Kyiv's park zone. After the onset of the Russian invasion, he volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Roman was killed in battle near Izium on June 9, 2022, falling into an enemy ambush. He was laid to rest at the Baikove Cemetery in the capital.
