Over the past day, there were 112 clashes on the front lines, with the hottest activity occurring in the Pokrovsk direction.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 08:00 on Sunday, February 23.

“Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using three missiles, as well as carried out 81 airstrikes, dropping 135 KAB. Additionally, they conducted more than 5,300 shellings, of which 47 were from multiple rocket launcher systems, and deployed 2,785 kamikaze drones for attacks,” the statement said.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes particularly in the areas of the populated localities of Monachynivka, Zapadne, Zolochiv, and Dubivka in Kharkiv region; Konstantynivka, Ivanopillia, Sloviansk, Myroliubivka, Zvirove, Pokrovsk in Donetsk region; Novopavlivka in Dnipropetrovsk region; Huliaipole, Lobkove, Zelenе, Varvarivka, and Stepnohirs'k in Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Vysoke, Tyahynka, Kozatske, and Shliakhove in Kherson region.

In the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit two command posts, 15 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, and two artillery systems of the invaders.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked five times towards Vovchansk, Fiholivka, Dvorichna, and Zapadne.

In the Kupiansk direction, there were three attacks by the invaders in one day. The Defense Forces repelled the enemy's assault actions in the area of Zahrizove.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 13 times, attempting to breach the Ukrainian defenses near the populated localities of Ivanivka, Kolodiazi, Yamplivka, and in the Serebryansky forest.

In the Siversky direction, Ukrainian units repelled the enemy's offensive actions three times in the area of Bilohorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders made six attacks in the areas of Vasyukivka, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks near Toretsk and towards Diliivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted 34 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor near the populated localities of Vodiane Druhe, Novotoretske, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Andriivka, and Ulakly. At the same time, the enemy actively used bomber and assault aviation against populated areas and positions of Ukrainian troops.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the aggressor launched eight attacks yesterday near the populated localities of Konstantynopil and Burlatske.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks in the area of Piatykhatky and Shcherbakiv.

In the Dnipro direction, Russian invaders attempted once to dislodge Ukrainian units from their occupied positions, but were unsuccessful and suffered losses.

The operation in the Kursk direction continues. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks in this direction. The enemy launched 20 airstrikes, dropping 28 KAB, and carried out 383 shellings, including 14 from multiple rocket launcher systems.

In the Huliaipole direction, the invaders did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively using artillery and strike UAVs from the territory of the Russian Federation against areas of Ukrainian settlements.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to February 23, 2025, amount to approximately 867,180 personnel, including 1,180 in the past day.
