In the past day, there were 191 clashes on the front, with the most intense fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk directions.

As reported by Ukrinform, this information was shared by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their report as of 8:00 AM on January 1.

Yesterday, the enemy launched five missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using 25 missiles, as well as 10 aerial strikes, including the drop of 29 guided aerial bombs. In addition, there were over 3200 shellings, of which 165 were from multiple launch rocket systems, and around 1260 kamikaze drones were involved in the attacks.

The Russian army also conducted airstrikes in the areas of the populated localities of Zelenе Pole, Kam'yanske, and Stepnohirs'k.

The aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck eight areas of Russian personnel concentration, a UAV control point, an air defense system, two fuel and lubricant warehouses, two radar stations, and six other significant targets yesterday.

Over the past day, in the Kharkiv direction, there was one enemy attack in the vicinity of the settlement of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, seven attacks from Russian invaders occurred during the day. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions in the directions of Lozova, Nova Kruhlyakivka, and Zahryzove.

In the Ly mans'k direction, the enemy attacked 19 times, attempting to advance near Nadiya, Pershotravneve, Zelenyi Hai, Novoyehorivka, Yampolivka, Terniv, Dibrivka, and in the directions of Druzhlyubivka, Chernechyna, and Novoserhiivka.

In the Severs'k direction, the Russian army made eight unsuccessful assault attempts to displace Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka yesterday.

In the Kramators'k direction, there were 32 enemy assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Bila Hora, and Predtechyne. Three of these are still ongoing.

In the Torets'k direction, the enemy conducted 13 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Bila Hora, and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted 57 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Zelenе Pole, Baranivka, Novotorets'ke, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Solone, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Dachenske, Zelenе, Novyi Trud, Vovkove, Pishchane, and Novovasyliivka.

In the Kurakhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled 20 enemy assaults. The main offensive efforts of the enemy were concentrated in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlivka, Dachne, Ukrainka, Shevchenko, and Kurakhove.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian army carried out 11 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Konstantynivka, Dachne, Rozliv, Velyka Novosilka, and Neskuchne.

In the Huliaipils'k direction, the enemy did not conduct any active actions.

In the Orikhiv direction, in the area of the settlement of Novoandriivka, the invaders made three unsuccessful attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their occupied positions.

In the Dniprovsk direction, Russian invaders attacked the positions of the Defense Forces three times. They suffered losses and retreated.

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 enemy attacks yesterday. Additionally, the Russians carried out 373 artillery shellings, conducted three airstrikes, dropping three KABs.

In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups have been detected.

According to the General Staff, on the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russians are using artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation against Ukrainian populated areas.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of the Russian troops in personnel from February 24, 2022, to January 1, 2025, amount to approximately 790,800 individuals, including 1,250 individuals over the past day.
