The Festival "Discover Ukraine" was held at the St. Stephen's Church in the Dutch city of Nijmegen, featuring the first joint performance of students from Ukrainian schools in the Netherlands.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Foundation "Ukrainians in the Netherlands" (Oekraïners in Nederland).

At the festival's opening, just before Christmas, an unforgettable concert was presented to the audience by children from three schools: "Divosvit" (Groningen), "Vulyk" (Eindhoven), and "Volya" (Nijmegen).

A special event was the performance by the Ukrainian International Ballet, which showcased classical and contemporary productions reflecting the richness of Ukrainian choreographic tradition.

The first note of the festival in 2015 was the New Year's concert, featuring both traditional Ukrainian carols and modern musical pieces, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees.

"We express our heartfelt gratitude to the mayor of Nijmegen, Hubert Bruls, and all the residents of the city and its surroundings for their care and support of Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their homes. For many, this is already the third Christmas away from home," the foundation expressed their thanks.

It is worth noting that the vocal ensemble "Korali" sang Ukrainian carols at the Ukrainian embassy in the Netherlands.
