This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, as conveyed by Ukrinform.
"On March 1, the Russians killed 2 residents of Donetsk region: in Kramatorsk and Malynivka. Additionally, 7 people were injured in the region over the day," the message states.
Since the beginning of the invasion, 3,001 people have died in Donetsk, and 6,806 have been injured. The total number of casualties from the Russians in Donetsk does not include Mariupol and Volnovakha, the head of the regional administration added.
Over the past day, Russian troops shelled populated areas in Donetsk 23 times.
"In total, the Russians shelled populated areas in Donetsk 23 times over the day. A total of 671 people were evacuated from the front line, including 9 children," the report states.
In Zelenyi Hai of the Komarska community, 3 administrative buildings were damaged. In Pokrovsk, 2 people were injured, 6 private houses were destroyed, and a high-rise building was damaged. In Malynivka of the Hrodivska community, one person was killed.
In Lyman of the Kramatorsk district, 2 houses and a power line were damaged. In Kramatorsk, 1 person was killed and 2 were injured. In Illinivska community, one person was injured, and 3 facilities were damaged in Nova Poltavka, while 10 facilities were damaged in Novooleksandrivka.
In Kostiantynivka, a high-rise building, 7 private houses, a store, 12 garages, and a power line were damaged; in Ivanopillia, one person was injured, and 4 houses and an administrative building were damaged.
In Siversk of the Bakhmut district, 4 high-rise buildings and 4 private houses were damaged.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces killed 13 civilians in Kherson in February.
