As reported by Ukrinform, this is mentioned in a comment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
"Fico, amid declining trust among Slovak society and protests against his pro-Russian stance, has resorted to finding enemies and has identified them… in Ukraine," noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The foreign ministry emphasized: "We regard these latest absurd statements as an attempt to shift responsibility for his own failures in domestic policy onto foreign states and leaders. We advise looking not abroad but into the mirror."
As reminded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ukrainian side has repeatedly warned about the dangers of the pro-Russian policies of the Slovak leadership.
"The result is clear: Robert Fico and certain parliamentary figures in Slovakia have become poisoned by Russian propaganda, have lost the ability to distinguish between black and white, and are now starting to label the leaders of neighboring friendly democracies as 'enemies'," the comment states.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed confidence that "such a position and policy of Robert Fico contradicts the choice of the people of Slovakia to be an integral part of the European community."
As Ukrinform reported, Fico stated that his government plans preventive measures to prevent public protests from escalating into attempts to "overthrow the government."
He emphasized that opposition groups are allegedly planning to escalate protests, including "seizing" government buildings and attempts to "overthrow" the government.
Citing information from security services, Fico reiterated accusations without providing evidence that there exists a group of unidentified "experts" in Slovakia who allegedly "assisted in the protests" in Ukraine in 2014 and in Georgia last year.
