Starting from 2025, the OSCPV policy (mandatory car insurance) will remain compulsory for all drivers of vehicles in Ukraine. TSN reports. This information has been shared by Kontakty.UA.
This is also noted by mAuto.
If a driver does not have the policy with them or cannot present it upon the request of a police officer, they face a fine of 425 UAH. If the fine is not paid within 15 days, the amount will double.
For the absence or expiration of insurance, the driver will be fined 850 UAH.
Additionally, starting January 1, 2025, the exemption from obtaining the OSCPV policy for certain categories of citizens has been abolished, including combatants (UBD), those affected during the Revolution of Dignity, individuals with disabilities of the I and II groups, as well as retirees who were previously exempt from this obligation.
At the same time, these categories of citizens will now be able to benefit from a 50% discount on the insurance policy.
It is worth noting that the widespread habit of many drivers can lead to accidents or significant damage to vehicles. Experienced drivers believe that driving without proper insurance damages the car.
