The Ukrainian men's cadet basketball team (U16), led by coach Oleg Shevchenko, kicked off their campaign with a victory in Riga at the Superfinal of the European Youth Basketball League (EYBL).

As reported by FBU, our basketball players defeated the Finnish team BC "Nokia" in the Round of 16 with a score of 65:51 (11:12, 17:17, 15:9, 22:13), according to Ukrinform.
In the Ukrainian national team, Yevhen Tatunchak recorded a double-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 steals. Artem Dyordyai contributed 12 points.
In the quarter-finals, the Ukrainian basketball team will face the Latvian team BC "Jūgla," which has won all 9 matches in the EJUBL season and defeated the IBA Skopje team (North Macedonia) in the Round of 16 with a score of 127:68. The match will start on February 28 at 18:00.
