Гондурас пригрозил выслать американских военных, если Трамп осуществит депортацию мигрантов.
The President of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, has warned Donald Trump that she will prohibit U.S. troops from remaining in the country if he proceeds with the mass deportation of Latin American migrants.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to The Hill.

“Faced with a hostile approach to the mass deportation of our brothers, we must consider changing our cooperation policy with the United States, especially in the military sphere,” Castro stated in a televised address.

She clarified that the deportation of Latin American immigrants from the U.S. would lead to the termination of the relevant bilateral agreement.

In turn, the Foreign Minister of Honduras, Enrique Reina, added that the president has the authority to terminate the mission of foreign troops without parliamentary approval.

American forces have been stationed at the Soto Cano airbase in the town of Comayagua for four decades, the publication reminds. The Combined Joint Task Force Bravo is deployed in this region to curb the flow of drugs and other contraband from South America.

As reported, Trump has repeatedly stated that on his very first day in office as President of the United States, he will launch “the largest deportation program in American history.”

The inauguration of the elected president of the United States is expected on January 20.
