Hobart: Kalinina withdrew from the WTA 250 tournament just before her first-round match.

Ukrainian player Angelina Kalinina has withdrawn from the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Hobart, Australia, which has a prize pool of $275,094.

According to BTU, Kalinina was scheduled to play her opening match today against "lucky loser" Lucia Bronzetti from Italy, who replaced Danish player Clara Tauson in the main draw, as reported by Ukrinform.

The reasons for this decision are currently unknown. It is worth noting that last week, Angelina Kalinina reached the semifinals at the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane, playing five matches.

Lucia Bronzetti will compete in the first round against Mexican player Renata Sarazua, who also lost in the final round of qualifying.

The tournament in Hobart will conclude on January 11.
