Drapaty: The murder of soldiers in the rear is that "red line" that must not be crossed.

The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapatiy, announced this on his page on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

“We cannot silently observe the growing wave of contempt for the defenders of Ukraine - this is beyond what can be tolerated,” emphasized Drapatiy.

In his opinion, “nothing happens suddenly. We have already witnessed cases of humiliation and aggression against our defenders, but I have not seen a strong reaction from society to this. Now we are facing direct armed attacks. This is how the enemy operates. He works with us and among us while we are busy figuring out who liked what.”

“There are no justifications for the murder of a serviceman and an attack on the TCC. A swift and harsh reaction from the authorities is the only possible response to the lawlessness against the military. Without just punishment for the murderers, gloaters, and traitors, we will see even more of our brothers killed in the rear. In other cities. In other neighborhoods. At gas stations, in supermarkets, in entrances, on the streets that we name after Heroes,” the commander noted.

He stressed: “If society digests these attacks, bad symptoms will become a diagnosis. I want to believe that at this point, this is not possible. Because the only thing separating us from the enemy is the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Armed Forces.”

“While we are losing our best people on the front lines, we must not lose our conscience in the rear. Contempt for a person in a pixel begins where dignity ends. We are obligated to respect those who have taken up arms and, at the cost of their own lives, defend our cities, the people in them, our borders, sky, and land, our state, our flag, our home. May the fallen warrior rest in peace. Sincere condolences to the family, friends, and comrades,” emphasized Drapatiy.

As reported by Ukrinform, in Pyryatyn, an unknown individual shot a serviceman from the Poltava Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support with a hunting rifle.
