The tech giant is facing pressure from the Trump administration regarding the selection of a manufacturing site for its products. Currently, Apple assembles the majority of its products in China.

The company announced that it will collaborate with partners to establish a server manufacturing facility for Apple Intelligence in Houston, a personal assistant powered by artificial intelligence for iPhone, iPad, and Mac computers. The facility will cover an area of 223,225 square feet.

The new plant, scheduled to begin operations in 2026, is expected to be part of a large investment plan that Apple is committed to implementing over the next four years.

Additionally, Apple stated that it plans to hire around 20,000 new employees in the United States. The majority will be engaged in research, software development, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
