He reminded that during the night, Russia struck Sumy with a Shahed-type kamikaze drone, targeting an ordinary residential high-rise building.
As a result of the enemy attack, four people lost their lives, and nine others, including a child, were injured. Rescue operations and debris removal are ongoing at the site, and assistance is being provided to those affected.
“A horrific tragedy, a dreadful Russian crime. It is crucial for the world to maintain pressure on Russia regarding this terror. I am grateful to all the leaders who express their support for Ukraine and Ukrainians,” noted Zelensky.
As Ukrinform reported, on the night of January 30, a Russian drone hit a ten-story building in Sumy. Preliminary reports indicate that nine apartments and 12 balconies were destroyed as a result of the attack.
