Ukrainian player Dayana Yastremska has advanced to the second round of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Linz, Austria, featuring a prize pool exceeding $1.064 million.

In the opening round of the tournament, fifth-seeded Yastremska (No. 33 in the WTA rankings) achieved victory over Italian Lucia Bronzetti (No. 76) with a score of 7:6 (8:6), 7:5, as reported by Ukrinform.
The match lasted over 2 hours.
Yastremska's next opponent in Linz will be Croatian Antonija Ruzic (No. 168), who, in turn, defeated Egypt's Mayar Sherif (No. 63) with a score of 6:3, 6:4. The match for a place in the quarter-finals will take place on January 30.
The tournament in Linz will conclude on February 2.
