It is noted that the world's largest automaker produced 869,230 vehicles globally in November, which is a 6.2% decrease compared to the same month last year.
However, this figure represents an even larger decline than in October (-0.8%).
Overall, Toyota's production in the U.S. fell by 11.8%. Vehicle manufacturing in China decreased by 1.6%, but the result is still better than the 9% drop in the previous month.
In Japan, which accounts for about one-third of Toyota's global production, vehicle manufacturing decreased by 9.3% in November, partly due to a two-day shutdown at two factories.
Meanwhile, the company's global sales rose for the second consecutive month by 1.7% to 920,569 vehicles, setting a new record for November.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Japanese company Toyota intends to build a new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in China, planning to primarily produce its premium models under the Lexus brand.
