According to Ukrinform, this was reported in Telegram by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 19:00 on Friday, February 21, the Russians launched an attack on Ukraine using 162 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of imitation drones from the directions of: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Milleryovo, and Primorsko-Akhtersk.

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 08:00 on Saturday, February 22, the confirmed downing of 82 Shahed-type drones and other types of drones occurred in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

75 enemy imitation drones were lost locally (without negative consequences).

As a result of the enemy attack, Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, Kirovohrad region, and Dnipropetrovsk region were affected.

As reported by Ukrinform, during the night of February 22, in the Boryspil district of Kyiv region, a railway crossing attendant was killed due to a drone attack.
