Defense forces shot down 20 Russian drones, while an additional 11 were lost at various locations.

According to Ukrinform, this information was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a Telegram post.

During the night of December 26, 2024 (from 19:00 on December 25), the Russian Federation's army attacked Ukraine with 31 Shahed strike UAVs and drones of other types from Oryol and Millerovo, Russia.

The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"As of 08:30, the downing of 20 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of other types has been confirmed in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions," the statement reads.

Due to the active resistance from the Defense Forces, 11 Russian imitation drones were lost in location without negative consequences.

As reported by Ukrinform, U.S. President Joe Biden called the Russian missile strike on Ukraine during Christmas outrageous and promised that the U.S. would continue to increase arms supplies to our country, including missiles for air defense.
