According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the spokesperson of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrii Kovalov, during a television broadcast.
"In total, there were 718 combat engagements over the past week. The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivsk, Toretsk, and Kursk directions, where fierce battles are ongoing. The enemy suffers significant losses in personnel, weaponry, and military equipment," Kovalov said.
In particular, in the Pokrovsk direction last week, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 190 attacks. The Russian invaders concentrated their main efforts near the settlements of Berezivka, Myrne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, and others.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Novopil, Novodarivka, Skudne, and Burlyatske, where the enemy attempted to breach the defenses of the Ukrainian troops 89 times.
In the Toretsk direction, last week, Russian occupiers launched 79 attacks - near Toretsk, Krymske, and towards Deliivka.
Kovalov noted that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction continues. Over the past week, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 109 Russian attacks there. The Russian invaders carried out 160 airstrikes last week, dropping 441 guided aerial bombs in the Kursk region.
The spokesperson of the General Staff also reported that last week the total enemy losses amounted to 7,890 Russians killed and wounded.
Additionally, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 73 tanks, 102 armored fighting vehicles, 339 artillery systems, seven multiple launch rocket systems, nine air defense systems, 1,166 operational-tactical level drones, 858 vehicles, and seven units of special equipment belonging to the Russian invaders.
As reported, 109 combat engagements were recorded in the last day between the Defense Forces and the Russians, with the enemy attacking most heavily in the Pokrovsk direction and in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
