Near Poltava, a grenade launcher, mines, and nearly 60 hand grenades were discovered in the forest.

The information was reported by the Poltava Regional Police, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

A local resident alerted the district police department about suspicious items resembling ammunition found in one of the forest strips near Poltava.

A investigative and operational group along with bomb disposal specialists promptly arrived at the scene.

Explosive ordnance disposal experts confiscated 58 hand grenades of various types, about 20 fuses and detonators, four mines (three of which were anti-tank), a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher, and over 1600 rounds of various calibers.

It is noted that the Poltava district police's weapon circulation control sector is currently addressing the issue of transferring the seized ammunition to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
