Nazar was born in Ternopil. He was a geographer and a law expert by profession, and since 2015, he had been working as an inspector in the patrol police units. The man had a passion for cars, adored nature, and dreamed of developing tourism in the Ternopil region.
On the first day of the full-scale invasion by Russia, he volunteered to join the military alongside his father. He fought as part of the 82nd Battalion of the 105th Brigade in the Kharkiv direction and was wounded while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Masyutivka.
On May 17, 2023, his family was informed that Nazar was missing, and in January 2025, his death was confirmed. The warrior was 30 years old, according to Suspilne.
"He was considered missing for a year and nine months. We tried to search for him everywhere. We submitted information to all possible websites and organizations, reached out to volunteers, and our efforts ended like this. On January 30, a detective called and said there was a second DNA match. He was simply the best person I have ever known in my life. I envied myself for having such a husband. I could never have imagined that our fate would lead us this way and that I would lose him. Smart, sincere, he supported everyone, helped everyone, and loved our daughter very much," - shared his wife, Yulia.
Nazar's childhood friend, Petro Kinal, states that he was a great patriot and always wanted to defend Ukraine.
"Nazar was a patriot during the Revolution of Dignity; he patrolled the city. As soon as the new police force was established, he immediately joined its ranks. He always wanted to defend and protect a free Ukraine. And he gave the most precious thing for it," - emphasized Petro.
The best friend of the fallen soldier, Viktor Humenyuk, remembers Nazar as a very just person.
"We lived in the same building, attended the same school, and were in the same class. Later, we both enrolled in university and studied in the same group. He was an extraordinarily good person, very fair. Perhaps that’s why he joined the police; he was a very just person," - noted Viktor.
Farewell to Nazar Kril took place on February 3, 2025, in Ternopil. The soldier was buried at the Pantheon of Heroes. Nazar is survived by his wife Yulia and daughter Victoria.
